Introduction

Make the batter in a blender on a food scale. Makes one very large and fluffy pancake. A great way to use up that last bit of sour milk!

Ingredients

    1 Butter, salted
    1 large Egg, fresh, whole, raw
    0.13 tsp Salt
    8 Canola Oil
    60 gram(s) Oatmeal, No Name Old Fashioned Oats (dry)
    95 mL Milk, 2%, with added nonfat milk solids, without added vit A

Directions

Put blender jar on food scale and add:
60 gram(s) dry Oatmeal
1/4 tsp Baking Powder
1/4 tsp Baking Soda
pinch of salt

Blend dry ingredients.

Heat 1 gram of butter in nonstick egg pan at med ("med" on my stove).

Add liquid ingredients to blender jar:
95 ml SOUR 2% milk (or fresh milk and 1/2 tsp vinegar or lemon juice or milk and yogurt whey)
1 large egg
8 grams canola oil

Blend well.

Pour batter into hot pan and cook. Don't play with it. Turn the pancake ONE time only when the edges are cooked and bubbles are popping in the middle.

Serving Size: Makes one large pancake
430 calories if 2% milk is used.
415 calories if 1% milk is used.
