    16 oz lean ground turkey
    16 oz extra lean ground beef
    1 tsp garlic powder
    2 tbsp finely chopped shallots
    1/2 cup dry quick oats
    1 fresh egg
    1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

    1/4 cup brown sugar
    2 tbsp chilli sauce
    1 tbsp ketchup
    1 tsp crushed prepared garlic
    1 tbsp china lily soy sauce
    pinch of dry mustard
    1/4 c water


Mix the first 6 ingredents together in a bowl with your hands to make sure they are well blended. Put the olive oil in a fryingpan and turn to medium heat.
Form balls from the mixture (about the size of a golf ball) and place in the pan. Brown on both sides about 5 min. and cover with a lid . Turn the heat down to med low and let cook for about another 10 to 15 min or until the meat is cooked through. Put meatballs on a plater but keep warm
Mix all the sauce ingredients in a small bowl. Put them in the pan with the meat drippings and heat on med low. Stir until the sugar is melted. then return the meat balls to the pan and roll around until each one is coated. Serve hot with as side dish.
