    Chicken Breast, no skin, 1 unit (yield from 1 lb ready-to-cook
    Red Ripe Tomatoes, 2 medium whole (2-3/5" dia), chopped
    Onions, raw, 1 medium (2-1/2" dia), chopped
    *Peppers, sweet, red, fresh, 1 medium (approx 2-3/4" long, 2-1/2", chopped
    Swanson Chicken Broth 99% Fat Free, .5 cup
    Garlic, 3 clove minced
    Oregano, dried, 1 tsp
    Turmeric, ground, 1 tsp
    Peas, frozen, 1/3 cup (remove)
    *Brown Rice, long grain, cooked, 2 cups


1. Place chicken, tomatoes, onion, pepper, broth, garlic, oregano and turmeric in a 4-quart or larger slow cooker (crockpot). Cover and cook on low for 5 hours.

2. Add peas and rice, cook uncovered until peas are tenter about 15 minutes. Yields 1-1/12 cups per serving. (includes one quarter of the chicken).

(Takes about 45 minutes to cook the brown, long grain rice. You could use instant to cut down that time.)
