Introduction

Ingredients

    1 large egg
    1/3 cup 2% milk
    1/8 tsp Salt
    1/8 tsp Cinnamon, ground
    4 slices whole wheat bread, cut in half
    2 tbsp Butter, unsalted

Tips

You can serve these sprinkled with confectioners sugar and topped with fruit and/or maple syrup. These are not included in nutritional analysis.


Directions

Whisk egg, milk, salt, and cinnamon in small bowl and pour into pie plate. Put butter in heavy skillet over medium heat. When butter is bubbling, dip one half slice of bread in egg mixture, turn over, and then lift into skillet. Add slices of dipped bread until skillet is full but not crowded. Cook about 4 minutes per side until browned.
