Ingredients

    .5 medium (2-1/2" dia) Onions, raw
    4 tbsp Hormel Bacon Bits
    2 tbsp chives, dried (by RUMBAMEL)
    1 tsp Texas Pete's Hot Sauce
    1 tsp Pepper, black
    16 fl oz Chicken Broth
    16 oz Oysters
    32 fl oz Heavy Whipping Cream
    1 tsp Nutmeg, ground
    2 stick Butter, salted

Directions

Melt 1.5 sticks of butter in pot. Add chopped onion, chives, pepper, hot sauce, and bacon bits and sauté until onion is cooked. Add oysters with liquid to pot and cook on medium heat for 2-3mins. Add chicken broth and cook for another 2-3mins, then slowly add heavy cream while stirring. bring to med. high heat, constantly stirring. Add nutmeg and last half stick of butter, sliced, into stew and heat until some bubble begin to appear. Turn to low and simmer for 20 mins.
