    1 # stew meat
    1 large onion sliced
    2 c water
    1 can beer (12 oz)
    2 t beef boullion or can of beef broth
    1/2 t dried thyme
    1/4 t pepper
    2 whole cloves
    1 bay leaf
    3 medium carrots, sliced
    4 oz uncooked noodles (about 2 cups)
    1/2 medium coasley cut head cabbage
    2 medium apples sliced


Brown beef in large kettle srayed with Pam. Add onions until done. Stir in water & beer. Add bouillion and spices heat to boiling. Reduce heat, cover & simmer for 1 hour.
Add carrots heat to boiling. Simmer for 30 minutes
Stir in noodles, cabbage, mushrooms & apples. Heat again to boiling, reduce heat, cover, simmer for 30 minutes for 10-15 minutes until noodles are tender.
Serving size 2 cups 6 servings.
