Ingredients

32 oz raw Grass Fed Ground Beef 90/10
3 cups cooked Chickpeas (garbanzo beans)
4 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
3 cloves Garlic, minced
3 tbsp Chili powder
3 tbsp. coconut sugar, Madhava™ Organic
1 cup 365 Organic Diced Tomatoes
5 cup Canned Tomatoes, Muir Glen Fire-Roasted, Crushed
.5 cup, diced Onions, raw
Sea Salt and Pepper to taste
Tips
Adjust the seasonings as you like as well as adding any cayenne pepper for some kick. You can also switch out the Chicpeas with other beans like traditional kidney beans, pinto, or black beans.
Directions
In a stock pot add olive oil and heat on medium heat. Add in minced garlic and onions. Cook until you smell the aroma of the garlic come out. Add in crumbled up ground beef and cook most through. Add in Chicpeas (drained of any liquid) and remaining seasoning except coconut sugar. Stir together until mixed well. Reduce the heat to simmer/low and add in the tomatoes. Mix well together and add in salt and pepper to taste. Cook for approx 1 hour on low uncovered. Add in coconut sugar and any more salt and pepper to taste. Continue to cook for 20 more minutes uncovered, then turn off the heat and cover the pot. Let it stand for 30 minutes covered and then uncover again and let stand another 15 minutes before serving.
