Missing bread on your low carb diet? These "rolls" help fill the void in your life left by sliced bread. Missing bread on your low carb diet? These "rolls" help fill the void in your life left by sliced bread.Number of Servings: 6
Ingredients
-
3 Large Eggs
3 oz Philadelphia Cream Cheese
1/8 tsp Cream Of Tartar
Tips
I use a muffin top baking sheet so my rolls come out uniform in shape. They are also easier to slice.
Directions
Preheat oven to 350.
Allow eggs and cream cheese to come to room temperature.
Separate yolks and egg whites.
Add cream of tartar to egg whites and whip until the eggs whitens have thickened and formed peaks.
Mix together egg yolks and cream cheese. Slowly add small amounts of egg yolk/cream cheese mixture to egg whites and mix throughly but slowly so as not to break down egg whites.
Spoon mixture onto baking sheet in 6 equal round portions. Flatten a little. Cook for 25-30 minutes.
Allow to cool and the slice in half horizontally. Freeze or store in an open bag. Rolls will mold if the bag is completely sealed.
Serving Size: Makes 6 rolls
