Ingredients

    1/4 cup butter, softened
    2-3oz. pkgs. cream cheese
    1 1/2 cups sugar
    6 eggs
    3/4 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. butter flavoring
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    2 1/4 cups flour
    1 cup buttermilk
    Frosting:
    1/2 cup sugar
    1/3 cup evaporated milk or cream
    1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Directions

In a mixing bowl, cream butter, cream cheese and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition . Beat in vanilla, butter flavoring salt and baking soda. Mix well. Add flour alternately with buttermilk; mix well. Pour into a greased 10"x15" baking pan. Bake at 325 for about 30 minutes or until done. Cool completely.
For frosting, Combine sugar and cream in a saucepan; bring to a boil over medium heat. Cover and cook for 3 minutes; do not stir. Stir in chocolate chips until melted and smooth. Spread over cake. Yield: 24 servings.
