    1 3/4 cups flour
    1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
    1 tsp baking powder
    pinch salt
    1/2 cup butter light
    3/4 cup buttermilk. low fat
    2 tbsp paresan cheese


Preheat oven to 400F.
In a large bowl mix together the flour, a/2 cup cheese, baking powder and salt. With pastry cutter ( or 2 knives) cut in butter until it resembles coarse meal. Add the buttermilk and stilluntil it forms a dough.
Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead lightly 3 or 4 times. Roll or pat into 3/4 inch thickness and cut into biscut shapes. Arrange on ungreased cookie sheet and sprin kle tops with extra cheese. Bake for about 15 minutes or until lightly brown on the bottom.
Makes 10-12 scones.
