Introduction

Ingredients

    8 cup Hunts Fire Roasted Diced Garlic Tomatoes (4 cans w/liquid)
    1 cup, chopped Onions, raw
    1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
    3 cloves Garlic
    2 tsp Fennel seed
    2 tsp Oregano, ground
    2 tsp Parsley
    2 tsp Basil
    1 tsp Salt (or to taste)
    1 tbsp Pepper (or to taste)
    1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (or to taste)

Tips

I make mine on the spicy side, leave out the crushed red peppers or cut it down for less spicy.

Directions

Add 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil to pan, on med heat
Add seasonings to pan and let saute till aromatic
Add onions and allow to saute a bit
Add tomatoes, simmer for 30 min
Remove from heat, using emulsifier blend up tomatoes and onions to consistency you prefer, smooth or a bit lumpy.

Makes 6 total cups - 1/3 cups servings
Enjoy as keto, (low carb) replacement for store bought or sugary tomato, pizza or pasta sauce.
