Number of Servings: 3

Ingredients

    425 grams Beans, black
    .3 cup, grated Carrots, raw
0.3 cup Quaker Oats - Quick 1 Minute - Dry
1 tbsp Kikkoman Lite Soy Sauce
    .5 cup, chopped Onions, raw
    0.25 tsp Cayenne Pepper (Ground)
    1 tsp Coriander seed
    1 tsp Cumin seed
    1 tbsp Chili powder
.5 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Tips

The grams are equal to one small can of black beans, drained.

These burgers are very flavorful if you get the right balance of spices. If your spices are older or fresher than mine, you might need to put some extra of something here or there.

I tried grilling these with my boyfriend's beef patties on the grill, but the burgers crumbled through the grates. You need to bake in the oven or at least cook on a solid flat surface.

Directions

In a sautee pan , cook carrots, onion, and dry seasonings with olive oil. While cooking, in a bowl, mash black beans with a ricer or fork.

Add cooked ingredients to the beans, add oats, add soy sauce, and put in the freezer for 10 minutes. After patties solidify, put them in the oven at 400 degrees until browned.
