slow cook steel oats, brown sugar and peaches slow cook steel oats, brown sugar and peaches

Ingredients

    0.25 cup Steel Cut Oats, dry
    1.25 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap
    1 cup Del Monte Diced Peach Fruit Cups, no sugar added
    2 tsp unpacked Brown Sugar
    1 pat (1" sq, 1/3" high) Butter, unsalted

Tips

make sure to still occasionally to not burn the bottom of oats,


Directions

heat water to a rapid boil with butter
slowly add oats, while stirring
then add brown sugar and peaches, while stirring.
After a minute of stirring, reduce heat to simmer.
let set until water is absorbed and oats are tender.
