    1 cup citrus puree
    1 cup sugar
    3/4 cup lowfat milk
    1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
    1 cup whole wheat flour
    1 cup unbleached white
    3/4 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoon baking powder
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/4 teaspoon cloves
    1/4 teaspoon ginger
    1/4 teaspoon nutmeg


Preheat the oven to 350 F and butter one large or two medium loaf pans. In a large mixing bowl, combine the puree, sugar, milk, and apple sauce. In another bowl, combine the remaining dry ingredients and mix well. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet, and stir just until all the flour is moistened. Do not over-stir.

Pour into the prepared loaf pan(s) and bake until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean, about 50-60 minutes for one large pan, less time for smaller pans. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely before serving.
