Ingredients

    0.50 tsp Pepper, black
    2 tbsp Parsley
    2 serving Egg white, large
16 oz Simple Truth Organic Ground Beef 90% lean 10% fat one whole 16 oz package
0.5 cup Kroger Traditional Bread Crumbs
.5 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
    3.5 oz Onion, sweet, raw
3 cup Simple Truth Organic Marinara Pasta Sauce

Tips

Serving suggestions: over Spagetti Squash for a low calorie meal, or over whole wheat pasta at 180 calories per 2 ounce serving. For example, a four ounce serving of pasta is an additional 360 calories for this meal. Added parmesan cheese is about 50 calories oer tablespoon grated cheese.

Directions

In a medium large mixing bowl, with clean and dried hands, combine the ground beef with 2 egg whites (unbeaten), bread crumbs, diced onion, diced fresh parsley and the ground black pepper. Make 16 meatballs by first divide the meatball mixture in half, then divide one half again to make four parts and divide once more to make 16 little meat balls. Form them by rolling them in your hands, and placing them on a plate before cooking.

In medium-large skillet or non stick pan (with matching lid to cover later), on medium high heat, warm the olive oil and spread it across the pan evenly with a spatula to heat. Lower the heat to medium.

Place each meatball into the pan, side by side, not to over crowd them (not touching) and brown them all turning every few minutes until browned evenly on all sides.

Drain off any excess fat. Add one whole jar of Marinara Tomato Sauce, stir to coat the meatballs, and cover. Cook about 20 minutes.
