Ingredients

    0.50 tsp Marjoram, dried
    1 dash Pepper, black
    0.25 cup Olive Oil
    2 cup, chopped Carrots, raw
    1 cup, diced Celery, raw
    3 clove Garlic
    1 cup, chopped Onions, raw
    1 cup, chopped Green Peppers (bell peppers)
    1 cup Spinach, fresh
    1 can (6 oz) Tomato Paste
    4 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap
    3.50 serving Tomato products, Hunts Diced Tomatoes w/ Basil, Garlic, and Oregano
    0.18 cup Whole Wheat Flour
    0.50 tsp Red chili pepper flakes
    4 cup Broth, Vegetable, Clearly Organic, Best Choice
    0.50 tsp Dried Oregano
    0.25 tsp Dried Thyme
    2 cup *lentils, great value dried
    0.50 cup Kroger Long Grain Brown Rice(1/4 cup dry, 1/2 cup cooked)

Directions

Simmer onion and green pepper in oil until soft. Add flour and cook until bubbling (do not brown). Add remaining ingredients. Simmer in a 5 qt pot for at least 1 hour, slow-cooker for 4-6hrs on high, or in pressure cooker for 15 min. Remove bones if ham and bay leaf if used Makes 4 to 5 quarts. 8-10 2/cup servings.
