Introduction

I am trying out new flours and flavors as I no longer live in the states. I often find myself missing good whole grain crackers because they are not available here. Today I made these crackers and we will probably be making them again! I am trying out new flours and flavors as I no longer live in the states. I often find myself missing good whole grain crackers because they are not available here. Today I made these crackers and we will probably be making them again!
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1 tsp Salt
    2/3 cup water
    2 tbsp Olive Oil
    3 ground tbsp chia seeds
    1 cup Fava Bean Flour


    3 tsp Everything but the bagel seasoning

Tips

My crackers were about 1 1/2 by 2 inches and 1 oz of crackers was around 7 total crackers. They're really good with hummus but my seven year old preferred them with cream cheese.


Directions

Combine Ingredients except seasoning blend and spread by hand onto a sheet of parchment paper on a cookie sheet. If it sticks to you then get your hands a little wet. OR cover in plastic wrap and smooth the dough out evenly. Be careful to remove it without pulling the dough apart. Sprinkle and pat in seasoning. Bake at 300 (convection) for 15 minutes. Remove from oven, cut into cracker shapes. (Optional, you can simply break them apart later.) Return to oven for 15 minutes. Test cracker to see if it "cracks" when you bend it. If some crackers are still pliable, return to oven for five more minutes with the heat on. Then turn off heat and let set in the oven until cool.
