Introduction

Ingredients

    6 tbsp Butter, salted
    4 medium (2-1/2" dia) Onions, raw
    3 tsp Granulated Sugar
    3 tsp Garlic
    8 fl. oz Sherry, dry
    7 cup beef bone broth
    .25 tsp Thyme, ground
    1 tsp Salt
    1 tsp, crumbled Bay Leaf

Tips

I like to start this in the morning in my insta pot using the saute feature and then just slow cook all day until I get home from work.


Directions

carmelize the onions in the butter and sugar, add the garlic & cook one more minute, deglaze the pan with the sherry, add the broth and remaining spices and cook low and slow for the day (can use slow cooker or pressure cooker if desired)
