Introduction

This isn't the lowest in calories, but I have to make it every year.

Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    3 quarts fresh okra sliced
    1/2 cup cornmeal
    1/4 cup oil
    salt and pepper to taste

Directions

In a large bowl, combine okra, cornmeal, salt and pepper. In a large skillet, heat oil till shimmering. Add okra. Let fry for a few minutes on medium high heat without stirring. Stir every few minutes until done, being carefull not to stir to often. Makes 6 cups
