Adapted from a Kraft Foods recipe. Adapted from a Kraft Foods recipe.Number of Servings: 8
Ingredients
-
1 pkg 1/3 less fat cream cheese
1/3 cup milk
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
1/4 tsp basil
8 oz chopped fresh asparagus
8 oz snap peas
1 cup chopped red bell pepper
3 large carrots, chopped
1 cup shredded or chopped cooked turkey
1 pkg stuffing mix (calls for chicken flavored but worked well with cornbread stuffing)
Directions
Preheat oven to 350. Prepare stuffing as package directs. Combine cream cheese and milk in bowl, microwave for 1 min or until will mix easily. Add parmesan and basil- you may want to add more basil or other type of spice/seasoning, to taste. Add vegetables and turkey to cheese mixture & toss to coat. Spoon into 9x13 inch baking pan. Top with stuffing. Bake for 30 minutes. Serves 8.
You can use tuna, chicken, ham, or turkey in this as a main dish casserole, or serve without meat as a side dish.
I thought the sauce (as listed) was a little thick and a little bland.
