Ingredients

1.5 cup Mahatma brown rice natural whole grain rice .25 cup dry or .75 prepared
3 cup Peas, frozen
.5 cup Oats, Quaker (1 cup dry oats)
.25 cup, hulled Sunflower Seeds, without salt
1 lemon yields Lemon Juice
2 clove Garlic
1 tbsp Tahini
1 tsp Paprika
.5 tsp Cumin - ground (1 tsp) (by INFORM555)
0.25 tsp Table salt (by ECHO_E)
1 dash Pepper, black
Tips
Using day old rice will speed up the cooking time!
Directions
1. Boil 6 cups of water in a large pot. Add the brown rice, stir, and cook uncovered for 30 minutes. Turn off heat, strain off the cooking water, return the rice to the pot, cover, and let it steam for 10 more minutes.
2. Preheat oven to 400F.
3. Add the steamed peas, oats, sunflower seeds, lemon juice, garlic, tahini, smoked paprika, and cumin to a food processor. Add the brown rice. Pulse until coarsely, but evenly mixed.
4. Line a large baking pan with parchment paper and form the batter into 12 patties (a 1/4 cup measuring cup should be about right) and arrange them on the parchment paper.
5. Bake for 23 to 25 minutes, flipping at the 12-minute mark. The patties will take on a light golden color when done.
