Ingredients

    1 lb. 93% ff ground beef
    1 C chopped onion
    1 15 1/2 oz can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
    1 8 oz can tomato sauce
    1 14 oz can diced tomatoes
    1/2 C elbow macaroni
    1/4 C water (add more if needed)
    1 4 oz can diced green chilis
    2-3 tsp chili powder
    1 tsp garlic salt
    1 C 2% shredded cheese

Directions

Brown beef and onions in large skillet. Drain off any fat. Stir in remaining ingredients, bring a boil and reduce heat. Simmer approx 20 minutes or until macaroni is tender, stirring often and adding water if needed. Sprinkle with cheese and cover pan about 2-3 minutes more until cheese is melted.

Serves 4-5
