Bourbon Chicken Bourbon Chicken
Number of Servings: 4


    1 lb boneless chicken breast
    1/4 tsp Ginger, ground
    1 tbsp cider or white vinegar
    2 tbsp Applesauce, unsweetened
    1/4 cup bourbon or Whiskey
    1/2 cup water
    1/3 cup light brown sugar
    1/3 cup light low sodium soy sauce
    2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
    1/4 tsp Kosher Salt
    2 tbsp Cornstarch
    1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper (Ground)
    2 tbsp Simply Heinz Ketchup
    2 cloves garlic (crushed)


Whisk all ingredients into a slow cooker. Add chicken and coat with mixture. Cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3-4 hours. Shred chicken. Serve over rice.
