Introduction

I only call it du jour as this is what I had on hand. There are SO many variations on this, but I generally use kefir and almond milk as a base. (I'm somewhat Lactose intolerant, so this works for me.) You can find kefir in the refrigerated yogurt section of most grocery stores. I only call it du jour as this is what I had on hand. Ingredients

    1 cup Almond Milk - Silk Original
    .75 cup Kefir Lifeway Lowfat Blueberry
    1 cup Kirkland Organic Blueberries Frozen
    .33 cup, sliced Banana, fresh
    .5 serving Bob's Red Mill Whole Ground Flaxseed Meal, 2 Tbsp.

Tips

Very refreshing on a hot day, very filling, very good anytime! You can also use Strawberry kefir, or plain kefir, and put in other fruit. such as strawberries, pineapple, peaches, whatever! Smoothies are as versatile as can be!
Have this in place of a candy bar or cookie, you still get some of the sweet and none of the junk! :)


Directions

Blend all with immersion blender. Pour into glass, enjoy.
