Introduction

Soft tortillas Soft tortillas
Number of Servings: 16

Ingredients

    3 cup Flour - Gold medal all purpose flour
    3 tbsp Lard
    2 tsp Baking Powder
    1.5 tsp Salt
    1 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap

Directions

Mix dry ingredients together
Add cold lard or bacon grease to the dry ingredients mixing it into the dry ingredients till well blended.
Add very hot water adding up to a 1/4 cup extra. Dough should be like soft bread dough. pieces about the same size
Divide into 16 pieces roughly about 1.25 oz each.
Let rest 20 minutes
Roll into round shapes
Cook over cash iron pan
