Introduction

It tastes similar to Wendy's chili. It tastes similar to Wendy's chili.
Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    1 medium Green Bell Pepper
    1 cup, diced celery
    5 cloves Garlic, minced
    1 medium onion, diced
    1 package Gardein Beefless Ground

    1 can, 28 oz. tomato sauce
    1 can Light Red Kidney Beans -- drained and rinsed
    1 can Black Beans, no salt added -- drained and rinsed
    1 cup Pace Chunky Salsa, mild
    1 can Diced Tomatoes, No Salt Added (fire roasted are great)
    3 Tbsp. chili powder
    1/2 tsp oregano, ground
    1 tsp sugar
    1/8 tsp cayenne pepper (Ground)
    1 tsp cumin, ground
    1 to 1 1/2 cup water

Tips

Mixture can be thick, which is why I add water. I start with 1 cup and can always add more later.
If still too runny, you can always add tomato paste to thicken.


Directions

Sauté green bell pepper, celery, onion, garlic together until softened. Add the package of Gardein Beefless ground, until hot. Remove from heat.

In the slow cooker, add all of the remaining ingredients and add the cooked vegetable mix. Stir together and put the lid on.

Cook on low for 4-6 hours.

Serving Size: Makes 10 servings, 1 heaping cup per serving
