    8 oz chorizo sausage
    16 oz Pork Shoulder (pork butt, picnic roast)
    4 stalk, large (11"-12" long) Celery, raw
    .5 cup, chopped Carrots, raw
    1 cup, chopped Onions, raw
    2 serving Green Onion (fresh-1 stalk)
    .5 cup, cubes Turnips
    1 cup slices Parsnips
    15 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap
    2 cup Beans, black
    Jalapeno - 3 seeds removed3 pepper Jalapeno Peppers
    1 serving Canned chopped tomatoes (by NIKI333)


Spices - add cumin, chili powder (about 1 tbsp each), cilantro - I added the stems of one bunch tied together and then took it out. Finish with fresh cilantro and avocado, lime before serving.


Cook chorizo, onions and vegetables together. in bottom of soup pot until onion is slightly tender. Add pork bone then fill pot to above pork bone. Add the pork and other ingredients. Bring to boil, then simmer for at least 1-2 hours. Add salt but be careful not to add too much - add a little at a time.
