Introduction

The slow cooker makes an incredibly easy and flavourful ham. The slow cooker makes an incredibly easy and flavourful ham.
Number of Servings: 20

Ingredients

    6 pound bone in ham (not spiral sliced)
    1/2 cup Maple Syrup
    1/2 cup Apple Junction Sweet Apple Cider
    3 tsp Dijon Mustard
    1 tsp Cinnamon, ground
    8 whole cloves

Directions

Place ham in crock of slow cooker flat side down.
Whisk together remaining ingredients to completely combine.
Pour over ham.
Cover and cook on low for 5 - 6 hours, until it reaches an internal temperature of 145 degrees F at the center of the meat about 1 to 1 1/2 inches away from the bone (do not insert meat thermometer touching the bone as this will give you an incorrect temperature reading).
Every hour or so, lift edge of lid and use a turkey baster to quickly baste the ham (you don't want to have the lid off or open for too long as it reduces the temperature in the slow cooker, lengthening the time it will take your ham to come to temperature).
