Ingredients
-
.75 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap
0.75 cup Robin Hood All Purpose Original Flour 1/4 cup serving (by CD6550307)
1 tsp unpacked Brown Sugar
Directions
Most recipes ask for one cup of starter. You should have enough left over to refeed and build again. I store in the fridge until I need more, usually 3 days before I make more. Let it perk for 4-8 hours on the counter.

Never seen a sourdough recipe calling for sugar or brown sugar?! That seems unusual. (I understand about "feeding" the starter...but?!) - 6/10/21

This replenishment is from a Better Homes and Gardens Best Bread Machine Recipes book. Use and refrigerate remainder. It says to add 1 tsp sugar if you have not used it within 10 days. I’ve been topping mine up for the last four months. So far, so good.
