Introduction

A delicious meal replacement "not sweet" frozen smoothie-- I added 8 large ice cubes, and froze all the fruit, so it was the consistency of soft serve ice cream and light like a sorbet. Perfect for a hot summer night when it's too hot to cook, and you want dessert for dinner.
Makes 3, 8oz servings.

Ingredients

1 cup Milk, Silk Almond unsweetened, plain (by EXPAT_MOM)
    60 grams Tofu, firm
1 small (6" to 6-7/8" long) Banana, fresh (freeze ahead)
102 grams Blueberries, fresh (freeze ahead)
    33 grams Avocados, California (Haas)
62 grams Pineapple, fresh (freeze ahead)
    34 grams Almonds
    6-10 large ice cubes

Tips

If you prefer it very sweet, try adding more frozen pineapple or replace some of the almond milk with a bit of fruit juice. You could also use ice cubes of frozen fresh pressed fruit juice to make this more like ice cream or dessert-- but that will up the sugar and calories, and make it less a meal replacement smoothie.

Directions

Add 1/2 the almond milk, tofu and avocado to blender. Blend to combine. Start adding frozen fruit, blending on high in a pulse to get it to combine. When all the fruit is added, start adding the ice. Use the other 1/2 cup of almond milk to get it to fully blend as needed. Alternate ice cubes and almond milk until you get a soft serve consistency.
Pour into chilled glasses, and eat with a spoon.
