    1 cup of whole wheat flour (fresh milled soft white)
    1/2 cup of milk
    1/2 tsp of salt
    1 tsp of baking soda
    1 pound of boneless skinless chicken breast
    2 tbsp of butter
    salt and pepper to taste


Boil chicken for 30 minutes in water, salt and pepper.
Prepare dumplings by mixing butter into flour , salt and pepper untill crumbly, add milk and drop by spoonfuls into simmering pot with chicken and water. Simmer for about 15 to 20 minutes more...or until dumplings are cooked through.
