Ingredients

    20oz. Honeysuckle White Sweet Turkey Sausage Links (you could use Hot if you wish)
    1C onion, chopped
    2 garlic cloves, minced
    4C beef broth
    2C water
    1/2 C red wine
    15oz can of petite diced tomatoes
    1 large carrot, thinly sliced
    4-5 basil leaves, cut in thin strips
    1 bay leaf
    1tsp dried oregano
    8oz pkg of CoraBella TriColor Four Cheese Tortellini (or your favorite tortellini)

Directions

Makes 8 hearty 1Cup Servings

Remove turkey sausage from casings and brown in a 5 quart dutch oven. When sausage is almost done add onions and garlic. When onions and garlic are soft stir in beef broth, water, wine, tomatoes, carrots, basil, oregano and bay leaf. Bring to a boil and simmer on low for 30 minutes. Add tortellini during the last 15 minutes.

    Very Good
    I MADE THIS WITH WHAT I HAD ON HAND..ABOUT 8 OUNCES OF TURKEY KELBASA CUT IN SLICES, THEN QUARTERED. I USED DRIED TORTELLINI THAT DID NOT HAVE A GOOD TASTE..THE SOUP HOWEVER WAS OTHERWISE GOOD AND I WOULD MAKE IT AGAIN USING THE TURKEY KELBASA AND SOME FRESH TORTELLINI:) THANKS FOR SHARING:) - 3/21/10

    Incredible!
    I made a very close version of this tonight & it was very good!
    My difference was to use 1lb ofground Italian Turkey Sausage (browned & well drained), skipped the wine & used 4 cups of chicken stock & left out the water.
    Added a sprinkle of parm to each bowl - YUM.
    Will make again.
