    2 c flour
    1 t salt
    1/4 c shortening
    1/2 c warm water


Cut shortening into flour & salt. Add water & stir till it forms a ball. Divide into 8 balls, roll out on floured surface into thin, 10" tortillas. Fry in a dry skillet on med-high heat about 20 seconds on each side, or until brown-speckled. Makes 8 large tortillas (or 10-12 smaller ones).
