A little indulgent, but very tasty sandwich. A little indulgent, but very tasty sandwich.
Number of Servings: 1

    2 egg whites
    1 tbsp peppers
    1 tbsp onions
    1 slice cheddar cheese
    2 slices whole wheat toast

In a mixing bowl, combine your egg whites, peppers and onion and whisk until well-blended. Heat your griddle and scramble or fry eggs until cooked. In the meantime, toast your bread. Once eggs are cooked, situate them onto a piece of toast, top with cheese slice, and close with 2nd toast slice. For a lighter amount of calories, use reduced-fat cheddar and/or one egg white instead. You can also split this sandwich with a friend. Makes one serving.

  • Another option is to use the lo-cal bread, like SaraLee 45cal/slice bread. Can also use the low-fat or fat free cheeses or even Laughing Cow Cheese spreads 081023 - 10/23/08
