Number of Servings: 6


    *½ lb smoked turkey sausage, sliced
    ½ cup chopped celery
    ½ cup chopped green bell pepper
    ½ cup chopped onion
    1 13.75 oz can low sodium, fat free chicken broth
    *1 15.5 oz can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
    ¼ tsp dried thyme
    ¼ tsp ground red pepper
    1 bag of Success in-a-bag quick cooking brown rice, uncooked.

    I used Oscar Mayer/Louis Rich smoked Turkey sausage and Great Value dark red kidney beans.


Cook first 4 ingredients in a nonstick skillet over medium heat, stirring often, until sausage browns. Add broth and next 3 ingredients. Bring to a boil. Stir in rice(remove from bag). Cover, remove from heat, and let stand 5 minutes.
