Makes 2 pies; cut each into 8 pieces Makes 2 pies; cut each into 8 pieces

    2 uncooked pie crusts
    3 small golden delicious apples
    3 T sliced almonds
    3 T sugar mixed w/ 1/2 tea nutmeg
    1 tea orange juice
    2 T butter
    orange zest


Peel apples; cut into slices. Place apples, an shape, on top of crusts. Sprinkle with almonds and sugar mixture and orange juice and zest. Dot with butter. Fold edges of crust back around on itself. Bake at 425 25-30 min
