Introduction

I just love this custard, it is one of the most comforting desserts I can think of. I just love this custard, it is one of the most comforting desserts I can think of.
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    8 eggs, slightly beaten, or equivalent in egg substitute
    1 cup pourable Splenda
    2 teaspoon vanilla extract
    2 2/3 cup Carnation Nonfat Dry Milk Powder
    4 cups hot water
    Dash ground nutmeg

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a large bowl, combine eggs, Splenda, and vanilla extract. In a medium bowl, combine dry milk powder and hot water. Gradually add milk mixture to egg mixture. Pour filling mixture into a 8x8 inch deep dish. Lightly sprinkle nutmeg over top. Bake for 1 hour or until knife inserted near center comes out clean. Place pie plate on a wire rack and let set for 15 minutes. Cut into 8 servings. Good served warm or cold.
