Introduction
My version of Chinese green beans My version of Chinese green beansNumber of Servings: 4
Ingredients
-
3 cups green beans (I like to use fresh Chinese Green Beans, but frozen works as well, or regular green beans are ok too)
3 Tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
9-12 cloves of Fresh Garlic (minced garlic in a jar is ok but fresh is always better!)
5 slices of fresh ginger (more if you like it spicy)
1 Tbsp Soy Sauce
1 Tsp Sesame Oil
2 Tbsp Canola or other vegetable oil
Directions
Makes about 4 servings.
Combine garlic and ginger in a small bowl, cover with soy sauce and vinegar and set aside.
Heat oils together in a wok or on a griddle and sautee green beans on medium heat until they begin to turn bright green (about 3-5 minutes)
Pour garlic mixture over beans and continue to sautee, stirring constantly. When beans are tender or liquid has all cooked down, remove from heat.
Serve over brown or white rice. I usually serve this with my Spicy Peanut Sauce on top for a delicious easy meal. Excellent cold as leftovers or for a picnic.
