Number of Servings: 4


    1 c raspberries (fresh or frozen)
    1/3 c sugar
    2 T cornstarch
    1/4 t salt
    2 c milk
    1/2 t vanilla
    4 t brown sugar


Divide raspberries into 4 dessert dishes. Combine sugar, cornstarch, salt in heavy saucepan and whisk in milk. Cook over medium heat, whisking constantly, until it boils (about 15-20 minutes). Stir in vanilla, then pour over raspberries. Allow to set for 5 minutes, then sprinkle with brown sugar. Serve warm or chill.
