Introduction

SO MUCH HEALTHIER than instant oatmeal flavors you buy in the store. I make several of these up on the weekend and grab one before heading for work in the morning. Ingredients

    1/2 c. instant oats
1 T. nonfat powdered milk (dry, instant milk)
    1 t. chopped pecans
    1 T. raisins
    1 t. brown sugar, packed

Directions

Mix all ingredients together. Can be stored in an airtight container/storage bag for weeks prior to use.

To cook: place mixture in microwave safe container. Add enough water to mixture to cover water slightly. Heat on high in microwave for 1 minute, watching closely so mixture does not overflow while heating.

This recipe contains powdered milk, which eliminates the need to bring milk to work (way easier to transport to work!) for those of us who enjoy a creamier version of oatmeal. :)
