    4 apples, cored
    1/2 cup raisins
    4 tsp. brown sugar
    1/2 cup apple juice


Makes 4 stuffed baked apples. Use a 3 quart crock pot for this recipe. If you use really big apples, you may need a bigger crock pot.

Core each apple and set it in the crock pot.

Stuff each apple with raisins and top with brown sugar. Pour apple juice in bottom of crock pot.

Cover and cook on high 3 1/2-4 hours or low for 6-7 hours.

This recipe is easily adaptable. You could use and/or substitute dried cranberries, walnuts, pecans, caramel candies, etc. in the apples!

  • Not sure we will make this again. Cut cooking time in half and apples were very wilted and mushy... although we have nothing to compare it to. We still enjoyed with a scoop of vanilla icecream but think that next time we might just stick to apple crisp or pie - 9/28/08
