Introduction

A very filling soup chock full of veggies. More (or less) can be added to your liking.
I also used a can of diced tomatoes with garlic. If you can't find that, add 1 clove chopped garlic.
I served this with whole wheat egg noodles.

Ingredients

    Chicken, cornish hens, 1 bird whole
    3 cups Chicken Broth 99% Fat Free
    1/2 can Yellow Sweet Corn, Canned
    1 cup Green Beans
    1 14oz can Diced Tomatoes
    1 large Onion, chopped
    1 cup Baby Carrots, chopped
    1 Bay Leaf, whole
    1 tsp Marjoram, dried
    1 tsp Salt
    1 tsp Ground Black Pepper
    1 tsp SAZON
    1 tbsp Parsley, dried

Directions

Add all ingredients (except noodles) to slow cooker.
Cook on low 7 - 8 hours
Remove hen, meat should fall right off the bone.
Add meat back to the soup.
Stir & enjoy!

    This was pretty good. I did not have Majoram or Sazon, but it turned out fine. I put cooked wild rice in it before serving and it was great. - 11/10/08
