Ingredients

    2 lbs. chicken livers, chopped
    2 cups chopped or sliced onions
    3 garlic cloves, minced
    1/2 T. oil
    salt or seasoned salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add remaining ingredients and fry, stirring occasionally until liquid is all absorbed and liver is no longer pink inside. Makes about 4-1/2 cups.

    If you like liver, this is a good way to eat it, and I like it best with some ketchup. - 10/2/08

  • I cover the bottom of the non-stick pan with onions and then put the chicken livers on top of the onions. Cook covered on medium heat. The onions caramelize and the livers steam or poach since they don't touch the pan. Delicious as a meal. Process leftovers for pate. - 8/7/12
