Introduction

This recipe is great for a cold day. I put it together the night before and turn on the crockpot before I leave for work. It's even better the next day. The sodium content is actually much lower because you will be draining and rinsing the beans. This recipe is great for a cold day. Ingredients

    21/2 lean ground turkey
    1 29oz can tomatoe puree
    1 29oz can crushed tomatoes
    1 can black beans
    1 can red kidney beans
    1 can tomatoes w/ green chilis
    1 cup onion
    4 Tbsp chili powder
    2 Tbsp ground cumin
    1 Tbsp sugar

Directions

Combine turkey and onions in skillett. Cook until meat is browned and onions are translucient. Drain-place in crockpot. Drain & rinse both cans of beans but them and the remainder of the ingredients in the pot and mix well. Set temp to low and cook for 8-10hours.
Makes approx.12 servings
