Introduction

Mix of ingredients I had around - trying to warm up the house, my first attempt at soup, ever! Mix of ingredients I had around - trying to warm up the house, my first attempt at soup, ever!

Ingredients

    Lentils (half of a 500 g bag)
    oil, salt, 2 cloves garlic, 1/2 onion
    any vegetables to add - carrot, corn, peas, and chayote - kind of like zucchini.

Directions

First I started boiling the lentils. Then added the chopped vegetables, then sautee the onion and garlic in some oil and add to the pot. Making it now so not sure how long it will take to cook but should be about 2 hours. Adding it just to track it, so please provide any suggestions! I'm new to cooking, but enjoying trying.
