    1 Cup Softened Butter
    1 1/2 Cups Sugar
    2 Teaspoons Cream of Tartar
    1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
    1/4 Teaspoon Salt
    2 Large Eggs
    1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
    2 1/3 Cups Flour

    1/4 Cup Sugar
    2 Tablespoons Cinnamon


Beat Margarine in large bowl with mixer on medium until light and fluffy. Add sugar, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt; beat until well blended. Beat in eggs and extract. Beat in as much flour as possible with mixer. Stir in any remaining flour. Cover. Refrigerate 2 hours or until dough is firm. Shape into 1 inch balls. Mix 1/4 Cup Sugar and Cinnamon in a small bowl. Roll dough balls in sugar mixture. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from baking sheets. Cool Completely on wire rakes. Makes 54 Cookies

  • Not bad. They spread a lot which might be from using lower cal. marg. rather than butter. I've had this prob when trying to lower the cal/ft/cbs on these type. I think the cinn-sugar mix should be 2 teas. cinnamon, rather than 2 TBS (which is 1/8 cup) - 10/28/09

  • Very Good
    Good recipe, yummy cookies. I must have made the cookies a little big because I only got 45. And I had to bake them for 15 minutes. Only needed about half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture. - 12/17/08
