Introduction
VERY simple recipe, and low in carbs! Make's a GREAT small side with mashed potatoes/pumpkin and schnitzels/steaks/grilled meats. VERY simple recipe, and low in carbs! Make's a GREAT small side with mashed potatoes/pumpkin and schnitzels/steaks/grilled meats.Number of Servings: 4
Ingredients

2 cups Green (snap) Beans
1/2 cup any chunky pasta sauce (calories vary by brand)
4 cups water
1 TSP salt
Directions
1. Put 4 cups water and salt to the boil.
2. Cut ends off green beans and boil until softened - NOT TOO SOFT.
3. Drain, add pasta sauce and re-heat for a minute or so, on medium heat until sauce starts to bubble.
4. Remove and serve immediately with favorite meat and mash.
OPTIONAL/VARIATIONS:
- Season with a pinch of salt and pepper or Parmesan cheese for extra flavors - or even add soft cream cheese!
- Cut beans into smaller pieces, cook following recipe. Lightly fry sliced mushrooms, peppers (capsicum) and finely chopped onions and stir in with beans and sauce for a heavier mix.
