Number of Servings: 6


    4 cups of water

    1 lean 2 lb beef roast, corned beef roast or ham

    2 medium onions peeled and halved

    4 carrots, peeled and cut in half

    1/2 a large cabbage cut in 4 wedges

    1 large turnip, peeled and cut in wedges

    2 potatoes, peeled and cut in half

    2 beef flavored Bouillon cubes

    2 bay leaves

    2 cloves of garlic

    salt and pepper to taste


1. Put Slow cooker at medium high heat..

2. Add all to pot and cook 3-5 hours.

3. Serve with vegetables and juices.
This is even better reheated the next day.

Serves 6 about 1.5 cups per serving

    The recipe tasted light, but it needed a bit more seasoning. I added some oregano. Also, the sodium content is through the roof if you make it with the bouillon cubes, so I used 4 cups of Emeril's beef broth. I'm sure I'd make it again, but I'd make it differently than the recipe above. - 2/15/10
