    99g celery (2 stalks)
    193g chopped onion (one whole med onion)
    120g chopped green pepper (1/2large pepper)
    525g tomato (1 large fresh tomato)
    1can red kidney beans,120cals X 3.5-1/2C Srvs
    1T minced garlic
    1 large can 48oz vegetable juice
    248g browned and drained 10%lean ground round (about 3/4 lb raw)
    1 t garlic w red pepper powder
    2 t Adobo seasoning
    2 t cumin
    1 t oregano powder
    1 t garlic salt


Brown the ground beef, drain and set aside. Saute the celery, onions, green peppers and minced garlic until softened. Add can of beans, drained. Rinse can with water, adding a half can or so of water. Add full can of v8 or vegetable juice, again rinsing with water, adding more water to pot. Put drained ground beef back into pot. Add seasonings. Bring to boil, simmer 10-15 minutes. Calories based on 13 1-cup servings.
