    1# extra lean ground beef
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 c chopped celery
    1/2 c chopped green pepper
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 (15-oz) can tomato sauce
    1 (6-oz) can tomato paste
    3/4 cup water
    1 (4-oz) can mushroom pieces, undrained
    1-1/2 tsp dried whole oregano
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/2 tsp pepper
    1 (12-oz) package thin spaghetti, uncooked


Cook ground beef in a Dutch oven over medium heat until meat is browned, stirring to crumble. Drain meat in a colander, and pat dry with paper towels. Wipe drippings from pan with a paper towel.
Return meat to Dutch oven; add onion, celery, green pepper, and garlic. Cook over low heat 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Add tomato sauce and next 6 ingredients and stir well; bring to boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 1-1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.
Cook spaghetti according to package directions, omitting salt and fat; drain. Spoon meat sauce over spaghetti.
